Tamim Mortaza is a French-Afghan Creative Director, multidisciplinary designer & artist offering innovative visual concepts and luxury-driven creative narratives. He is based between Paris and Dubai and holds a master degree in Art direction from the De Vinci Higher Education School.
Currently, he occupies the position of Group Creative Director of the luxury team at ITP Media Group after having been an Image & Innvoation Art Director in the Creative Intelligence team founded by Paul Gruber at the famous international luxury agency Mazarine.
Driven by a passion for print and editorial design, Tamim’s expertise is singular and multidisciplinary, marked by an iterative process that harmoniously blends minimalism with complexity, avant gardism and meaning. Challenging conventional notions of creation, as one of the main Art Director of the Creative Intelligence team he explores various mediums and modes of creation, mainly the relation between creation with artificial intelligences. His goal is to generate meaningful visual narratives and experiential immersive digital experiences that push culture forward. His work is radical and dynamic, never the same, yet always staying true to his self.
Tamim actively accumulated experience in diverse design disciplines, consistently seeking opportunities to learn and grow across multiple fields.
He began his career as a digital communication manager for a privately-owned historic Parisian theater.
Then he joined the number one creative agency in France, Publicis Conseil, as an Art Director for the biggest client of the group, Renault. During this period he worked on many campaigns for which he received numerous awards at international creative ceremonies.
Based on this success, he joined Mazarine, to pursue his career in luxury world, where he also won various awards.
Currently he is the Group Creative Director at ITP Media Group in Dubai, the largest media group in the editorial publishing division, he leads the creative direction for some of the most prestigious magazine brands. His expertise lies in developing visual and editorial concepts that resonate with luxury and fashion audiences in the region.
Tamim is also proud to serve as a mentor at Banlieue Chic, an association dedicated to fostering inclusivity within the luxury sector, specifically targeting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in the suburbs. Founded and led by Siham Jlila, a consultant and a professor in the luxury field.
Coming from a similar suburban background, Tamim brings a unique perspective and understanding to his role. He guides and empowers individuals, helping them navigate and succeed in the luxury industry, furthering the mission to democratize access to the luxury sector for marginalized communities.
